Red Bull Rampage – Too Dangerous??

Coming off the 2025 version of Rampage we saw 3 air flights and many other incidents. Has the event gone too far? Where does the event go from here.

The biggest crash of the event was Adolf Silva’s under rotated double flip off the Canadian drop. He doesn’t have feeling below his chest and is likely the worst thing to ever happen at Rampage. But how do the risks stay minimal? Riders are not going to stop pushing the limits.

The women of Rampage had an event called formation. Bringing people to the extreme terrain and easing in. But with tricks getting more and more difficult to win in men’s and women’s. This is my solution.

Red Bull sports should hold a summit before the event. I have seen athletes build massive structures to train for massive moves. But, not everyone has these amenities.

Choose the riders, and spend the money to build 50 foot drops into airbags or foam pit. Flat drops, step downs, to test their tricks on something very similar to what the contest will be. The rule of thumb is land it 3 times in the air bag before you bring it to dirt. This is a tried and true method. With riders helping each other and giving insights on how to improve their riding to achieve the goal of landing a move.

This is as safe as it can get. Nothing will stop riders from pushing their limits. They aren’t riding Rampage to take it easy.

Also raising the amount of prize money after 1st (5th place gets 15k) maybe the money should be more (50k for 5th place). Money doesn’t grow on trees but this is what I would do if I ran the event. This would ease people to put that one massive trick in because at the end of the day they are putting food on the table.
